…Amazing!

…Awesome!

…FANTASTIC!

…Majestic!

…Unbelievable!

Those were my thoughts and feelings when I first encountered the MIGHTY Niagara Falls yesterday (11th Jun 2010).

In fact, I have never took so many photographs in a single day – at total of more than 500 shots! (If I did that on film fifteen years ago, that would cost me US$1,000!!!)

Anyway, here are a few nice pics to share with you:

American Falls and Bridal Veil (the narrow waterfall on the right side), U.S.

Niagara's Horseshoe Falls, Canada

Niagara Falls is at the U.S./Canada border and is essentially a lot of water gushing down in three distinct waterfalls in two countries:

  1. U.S. (American Fall & Bridal Veil Fall)
  2. Canada (Horseshoe Fall)

Where did ALL the water come from?

If you still remember your geography lesson, the water gushing down Niagara Falls comes from four of the five great lakes (Lake Michigan, Lake Huron, Lake Superior & Lake Erie) draining into the fifth Lake Ontario and falling some 70-100 feet (American Fall & Bridal Veil Fall) and approx. 170 feet (Horseshoe Fall).

And… in case you want to see Niagara Falls LIVE – which I highly recommend -

You should see it from the Canada side.

In a boat ride to the mighty Niagara Falls.

It’s such an awe-inspiring event that’s truly beyond what words can describe… in fact, I’m trying very hard here to share this unique experience with you… (If you’ve been there before, do share any comments with the readers here.)

Thus, you need to experience it for yourself LIVE!

Plus… since you’re in Canada, you might as well plan a trip to Toronto (which was what I did) because it is simply a terrific city with more than a hundred different nationalities (which I believe you can imagine the potpourri of an interesting mix and diverse culture!).
