Tom ‘Big Al’ Screiter returned to Singapore again for the umpteenth time…
… and as usual, I make sure I drop all appointments just to be at the event. And this time it was the Reverberation Conference 2010 organized by event organizer, Metica (who in previous years organized the Elite Network Marketing Conference or ENMC).
Every time I listen to Big Al, I’m amazed at his wisdom and… his humor. He pulls no punches and cut to the chase.
He’s neither hazy nor vague. More than just motivation, he gives plenty of practical techniques that work because he believes in imparting skills to the participants.
I love his analogy of someone who wants to learn how to drive where no amount of positive thinking, motivation, reading, thinking is going to help. He/she just got to take some driving lessons on the road in order to acquire the skills.
That, he said, is exactly what network marketers must learn – the practical skills that help them build their business and not just having a great attitude! So true and yet, we don’t hear other gurus teach like that…
No wonder Big Al is already financially free for 38 years!!!
During this event, he shared several techniques with the participants including how to ‘freeze’ a prospect’s mind before you present anything serious to him. One of these was a 9-word sequence of words that go like this:
“There are two types of people in the world…”
According to Big Al, your prospect will literally freeze when you utter those words and pay attention to what you have to say! POWERFUL, indeed… to say the least!!
So, next time, when you hear that Big Al is coming to town, join me at his event and learn as much of his wisdom as you can which can be applied in network marketing or any other situation requiring people skills.
